Formula and assumptions
Gross PnL uses price change × position quantity with direction reversed for shorts. Net PnL subtracts both execution fees. ROE divides net PnL by notional ÷ leverage.
Worked example
Example: a $1,000 long from $60,000 to $63,000 earns $50 gross. At 0.06% per execution, fees reduce the final result; leverage changes ROE, not gross dollar PnL.
