Research process · repeatable and auditable

Weekly derivatives research checklist

Use the same order every week so one dramatic chart does not override missing context.

Seven-step review

  1. Price: mark weekly range, trend and invalidation levels.
  2. Open interest: note expansion or contraction versus price.
  3. Funding: compare sign, magnitude and persistence across venues.
  4. Liquidations: separate observed events from modeled concentration zones.
  5. Order flow: check whether aggressive execution confirms the move.
  6. Catalysts: record scheduled events that can change volatility.
  7. Quality: list stale, missing or venue-specific data before writing conclusions.

Output format

Write a base case, upside scenario, downside scenario and the observation that would invalidate each. This is research discipline, not a buy or sell recommendation.

Important: TradingHub provides informational tools and scenario estimates, not financial advice. Verify fees, margin rules, availability and current terms with the relevant venue before acting.
